The interchange lies at the meeting point of the north-south railway and also October 23 and May 19 streets.
Work on the VND1.3-trillion (US$55.3 million) project started in 2017 under the build-operate form, with Phuc Son Group JSC being the main developer.
It serves as a bypass, with drivers no longer required to enter downtown Nha Trang to travel across the city.
Workers build the concrete base on which the guard rail is being installed on August 30.
The entire work was originally slated for completion within two years, but was delayed due to land acquisition issues.
Work on the remaining part of the circle remains in slow mode due to the land issues.
It is still not clear when the interchange will be finally completed, but Nguyen Van Dan, director of the Khanh Hoa Province Department of Transport, said work would be speeded up and finished soon.
