The first kilometer of the running track will take runners by the Independence Palace on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, surrounded by lush trees.
Held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, VnExpress Marathon will give runners of all four distances (5, 10, 21, 42 km) the chance to explore the city's stunning roads and famous landmarks.
500 meters from the Independence Palace, runners will head towards Paris Commune Square highlighted by French architectural works, including 140-year-old Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office.

Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, a soul of Saigon nightlife, will also be part of the night running track.
From the pedestrian street, runners can see iconic buildings such as Bitexco and Times Square.
Leaving Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, runners will be indulged the river-side Ton Duc Thang street at night.
A corner of Sala urban area in Thu Thiem new urban area, a familiar place for training of Saigon runners.
Thu Thiem will be the next challenge for runners after Ba Son Bridge.
The new urban area boasts natural beauty, like a hidden garden in a bustling city. Runners of VnExpress Marathon will run on a one-km road along coconut trees.
Sala urban area has many wide and green roads. The runners of 42km distance will run along its lake (pictured), and continue to Mai Chi Tho, and Diamond Island.
Thu Thiem bridge will be at the end of the race. From the bridge, participants can see a panoramic view of skyscrapers in District 1, Binh Thanh, including Landmark 81, a rising symbol of the city.
The Zoo and Botanical Garden, the most popular tourist attraction in Ho Chi Minh City, will be the end of the night run.
VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight will kick off on February 12, with a scale of 10,000 runners.
