Nguyen Doan Thien Dinh, 31, from HCMC, attracted other runners by dressing up as a pink Hello Kitty. He was wearing a teddy bear bag and heart-shaped glasses with matching colors. He also tied up balloons in the shape of the famous fictional cat created by the Sanrio Company.
Dinh said that he wanted to bring laughter and relaxing moments to other runners, helping them to feel less tired. He has participated in seven VnExpress Marathon races, each time with a new costume.
This time, Dinh chose the Hello Kitty theme to celebrate his birthday month and the 30th anniversary of Kitty being honored by UNICEF as "Children's Special Friend."
Also on the full marathon track, runner Nguyen Manh Tuan wore a Nemo clown fish shirt with aquatic plants inspired by "Finding Nemo," an American cartoon that premiered in 2003.

The second VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang attracted 11,000 runners, a sharp increase from 8,500 last year. Runners crossed the most beautiful roads in the city, such as Pham Van Dong and Tran Phu, conquered part of the majestic Luong Son Pass, and watched the sunrise on the sea.
