Lensman Tran Ngoc Anh has caught the radiance of Central Highlands town Da Lat, smothered in wintry fog and clouds.

Anh, a local resident, said end of October to March is the best time to hunt for clouds in Da Lat as it enters winter.

Da Lat, a famous tourist destination in Lam Dong Province, boasts a year-round cool climate rarely found in a tropical country like Vietnam. It was once a summer hideout for French officials during colonial times who built villas in the hills to escape the heat and humidity of the lowlands.

Around 20 km to the southeast of downtown Da Lat, Cau Dat tea plantation, where the Vietnamese tea industry originated, has become a highly Instagrammable destination.

Ho Suoi Vang (Golden Stream Lake), also known as Dankia Lake, around 17 km from Da Lat's center, lies next to the Golden Valley tourist area.

One solitary tree sets itself apart on the banks of Dankia Lake, providing an ideal spot to make camp for the night.

It takes 45 minutes by motorbike from Da Lat's center to Highway 722 to reach the lake. The road is so steep in places it is almost impassable.

How the tree ended up growing here remains a mystery. Locals call it "lonely" because it stands alone in the middle of a vast area facing Dankia Lake, leaving the pine forest far behind.

Tourists walk on pink muhly grass near the Golden Valley tourist area.

Pink muhly grass is easy to find in China and North America, but is extremely rare in Vietnam. That's why the hill has attracted many photographers and nature lovers. Blossom season starts in September and does not last long. November and December are the best months for a visit.

Sometimes, if lucky enough, visitors can catch sight of horses leisurely grazing across the pink grass fields.
