In 2025, Vietnam’s hotels earned global recognition, earning top awards from the Michelin Guide, World Travel Awards, and major travel magazines.

In its first global hotel ranking, the Michelin Guide awarded 13 hotels in Vietnam. Two properties that received the highest rating of three Michelin Keys are Capella in Hanoi and Amanoi in Khanh Hoa Province.

Capella Hanoi (pictured) at 11 Le Phung Hieu Street, about 500 meters from Hoan Kiem Lake, was designed by architect Bill Bensley and inspired by 1920s opera houses.

The hotel has 47 rooms ranging from 35 to 194 square meters, all with balconies. Each room features a different interior design. Room rates start at around VND7 million ($266) per night.

Capella Hanoi was also named Best Hotel in Vietnam 2025 by travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler and received a five-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide.

Amanoi Resort is located within Nui Chua National Parka, a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve. Guests can join activities such as trekking, kayaking, or private beach picnics.

The resort has 44 residences with one to five bedrooms, each covering several hundred square meters. Double room rates start from VND20 million (US$760) per night.

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai in Da Nang received two Michelin Keys and a five-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide. Among 2,187 properties evaluated worldwide by Forbes in 2025, only 350 hotels and resorts achieved the five-star status.

Located on Ha My Beach, the resort is close to UNESCO sites including Hoi An Ancient Town, Hue Imperial City, and My Son Sanctuary. It offers 100 villas with one to five bedrooms.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi earned one Michelin Key, was named Best City Hotel in Vietnam 2025 by travel magazine Travel + Leisure through its Luxury Awards Asia-Pacific, and became the only Vietnamese hotel featured on Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2025.

Built in 1901 at 15 Ngo Quyen Street, it is Hanoi’s oldest luxury hotel. The property has over 350 rooms, with rates starting from VND5.7 million ($216) per night.

Zannier Bai San Ho in Dak Lak Province received two Michelin Keys and was named among the Top 50 Hotels in the World 2025 by the Telegraph Hotel Awards. It also made the Top 100 list by Tatler Asia, a luxury platform.

The resort is designed as a coastal village. Its villas sit on a hill overlooking the ocean, and the common areas are filled with art and antiques. Rates start from VND10 million ($380) per night.

JW Marriott Emerald Bay Resort & Spa in Phu Quoc Island ranked first for Best Hotel Pools in Vietnam 2025 by Travel + Leisure and also featured on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the World’s Best Resorts.

The resort features three swimming pools, including the adults-only Shell Pool, an ocean-facing pool, and a children’s pool. Private villas with pools are available. Rates start from VND8.8 million ($334) per night.

InterContinental Sun Peninsula Resort in Da Nang City was named Best Island and Beach Resort in Vietnam 2025 by Travel + Leisure, Best Hotel in Vietnam 2025 by Condé Nast Traveler, and Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort by the World Travel Awards.

The resort covers 39 hectares on Son Tra Peninsula and includes 201 rooms with sea views and a 700-meter private beach. It also has a Michelin one-star restaurant. Rates start from VND20 million ($760) per night.

Anantara Hoi An Resort in Da Nang City was voted Best Suburban Hotel in Vietnam 2025 by Travel + Leisure.

Located by the Thu Bon River, a short walk from Hoi An Ancient Town, the resort blends classic architecture with modern facilities. Guests can join cultural activities such as lantern floating and basket boat rides. It is also among the first resorts to use 3D printing technology for food presentation. Rates start from VND7 million ($266) per night.

La Veranda Resort in Phu Quoc topped the Best Spa Service Hotels in Vietnam 2025 list by Travel + Leisure and was named Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort by the World Travel Awards.

Overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, the resort follows a French colonial style. Its Tinh Wellness Sanctuary covers 1,500 square meters and includes eight treatment rooms and four VIP rooms themed around earth, water, wood, and fire. Services include detox programs, recovery treatments, and a gym, among others. Rates start from VND2.8 million ($106) per night.

Panhou Retreat in the northern province of Tuyen Quang was named Asia’s Leading Green Resort 2025 by the World Travel Awards.

The retreat is inspired by the legend of Long Khuyen Ban Ho, an ancestor of the Dao people. According to the legend, Long Khuyen Ban Ho was a divine dog with a dragon’s body. It became the ancestor of 12 Dao clans, representing the community’s origins and unity.

Panhou Retreat uses materials such as rammed earth, stone, and recycled wood. Accommodation includes villas and bungalows. Guests can experience Red Dao herbal baths, yoga, and trekking tours. Rates start from VND2.9 million ($110) per night.

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Khanh Hoa Province was recognized as Asia's Most Romantic Resort 2025 by the World Travel Awards.

The resort overlooks Ninh Van Bay and offers villas with sea views. It also serves as a sanctuary for endangered monkey species. Activities include hiking, beach picnics, and fishing. Rates start from VND20 million ($760) per night.

La Siesta Classic Hanoi ranked 12th among the Top 25 Best Hotels in the World 2025 by U.S. travel site Tripadvisor, part of its Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards.

This boutique hotel is located in the Old Quarter and features 70 rooms, most with balconies. Its rooftop bar offers views of the Old Quarter, with Long Bien Bridge as a focal point. Guests can even watch fireworks over Hoan Kiem Lake on special occasions. Rates start from VND2.5 million ($95) per night.
