Deep in the moutains around Sapa in Northern Vietnam, this infinity pool lies 900 meters (3,000 feet) above sea level, overlookng terraced fields and a massive range of high mountains.
The pool belongs to Topas Ecolodge, an eco-site that opened in 2005 as a hotspot for thrill-seekers looking to get close to ethnic groups and trekking trails.
In June, National Geographic listed the eco-lodge as the number one on a list of "21 places to stay if you care about the planet".
According to Topas Ecolodge, you will be served by young people from the local minority tribes. Though not all are equally proficient in English, it’s an authentic and northern mountain getaway experience.
