Japan's Tokyo Haneda continued to be voted the world's cleanest airport as part of the 2026 World Airport Awards, according to London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax.
Known for its spotless terminals, restrooms, and seating areas, the airport combines dedicated cleaning teams with advanced sanitation technology to maintain exceptional hygiene even amid heavy passenger traffic.
The awards were based on a survey that assessed passengers' experiences across multiple factors, including waiting times, queuing systems, priority lanes, e-gate efficiency, and the courtesy and effectiveness of immigration staff.

South Korea's Incheon has surpassed Singapore Changi to claim the second position.
Incheon International Airport, the main gateway serving Seoul, is known for impeccable maintenance of terminals, washrooms, and high-efficiency facilities.
The airport upholds high cleanliness standards by deploying modern cleaning robots alongside a workforce of more than 300 staff and hundreds of maintenance devices in daily operation.
