Without a name on Vietnam’s tourism map, the French realized the potential of Sam Son beach in the early 20th century and turned it into a vacation spot for Nguyen Dynasty's kings and mandarins.

A panoramic view of Sam Son City from above. Nowadays, Sam Son beach often attracts many tourists on summer holidays due to convenient transportation and proximity to Hanoi.

During the Reunification Day and Labor Day holidays between April 27 and May 1, Sam Son welcomed 905,000 visitors, an increase of more than 55,000 visitors compared to 2023.

With about 13 km of coastline, invested infrastructure system, and a series of festive events scheduled to be held during the summer, Sam Son aims to welcome more than 8.5 million visitors by the end of this year.
