During his trip to Dubai in 2015, Mateen, 31, experienced skydiving on Dubai Bay.

Skydive Dubai has two locations offering breathtaking views as people skydive over sandy dunes or over the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island.

Visitors are strapped to a professional skydiver during their jump and if they obtain a skydiving license, they are allowed to jump solo.

The average price of this activity is about US$545 per trip and is quite popular among the rich when coming to Dubai.

In 2019, Prince Mateen posted a photo on Instagram of him relaxing at a luxury resort in the Arabian Gulf.

He also enjoys skiing. One of Mateen's favorite winter destinations is the village of Verbier in Switzerland.

In 2022, the prince was seen on a cruise ship on Lake Como in Italy. 

It is the third-largest Italian lake after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore.

The prince plays golf at Royal Valderrama golf club inside Sotogrande resort in southern Spain.

The five-star resort features a golf course with three 18-hole combinations, and a 2,800-square-meter spa including a hot tub, gym, sauna and fitness and wellness center. 

Room rates cost from VND12 million a night.

In 2021, he posted a photo on Instagram showing that he conquered Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, at a height of 886 meters above sea level.

He experienced diving at Amanpulo, a luxury resort blissfully marooned on a private island in Northern Palawan in the Philippines.

The 5-star resort boasts a spa, 30-meter pool, tennis courts and watersports including diving, fishing and sailing.

The prince escaped summer heat at the swimming pool of a luxury resort in India.

His Instagram caption said "Indian summer."

“Time off the saddle cruising along the Mediterranean Sea,” he wrote in another caption during his trip to the Mediterranean.

Mateen, a polo player representing Brunei in the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games, was listed as one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Tatler Magazine in 2016.

Earlier this year, he married Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, an entrepreneur and co-founder of a cultural tourism business.
