High in the border mountains in Nghe An Province, a primary school becomes a springtime destination with cherry blossoms that color the area in pink.
Muong Tip 1 Primary School in Pha Noi Hamlet, Muong Tip Commune, Ky Son District, has become a scenic spot as the cherry trees bloom.
The flowers stand out against the mountains, attracting visitors who come to enjoy the view and take photos.
The trees were planted more than 13 years ago by teachers when the school was first opened. Thanks to the cool climate, they grow well and bloom every spring.
The blossoms not only impress visitors but also bring joy to local people, teachers and students in this border area.
Pink petals line the walkways, signaling the arrival of spring in the mountains.
Many trees are more than 10 meters tall, with thick trunks and wide branches rising above the surrounding hillocks.
This is a native cherry blossom variety, originating from forests along the Vietnam - Laos border. The trees bloom from January to February.
Visitor Ha Le said the school is about 70 kilometers from Muong Xen Town.
"The road winds along the mountains, and some sections are under renovation, so it's best to travel slowly to enjoy the scenery and stay safe. Just follow the map and you'll get there."
For travelers drawn to quiet experiences, Muong Tip 1 Primary School offers a chance to catch the cherry blossom season in the early months of the year.
