The 20-year-old brick kiln in Duy Vinh Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province is 10 m high and about 4 m wide on each side and has been abandoned for many years.
Since 2018, the large number of visitors here have raised safety concerns.
By early 2020, a local had bought the brick kiln, renting an additional two hectares of field to repair and develop the tourist attraction.
Since July, about 300 to 400 people have visited the free site and nearby coffee shop daily.
The stairs are the highlight of the brick kiln, about 8 km from Hoi An, offering tourists a sprawling view from the top.
