Boathouse Pulau Tioman Resort was officially opened on July 1 by Hotel Properties Limited, a property and hotel developer owned by Singapore tycoon Ong Beng Seng.

Due to its isolated location on the island, the only way to reach the resort is by ferry ride from either Mersing or Tanjung Gemuk, with options like Cataferry or Bluewater Ferry available.

The journey will take about two hours from Mersing and 1.5 hours from Tanjung Gemok, followed by a short speedboat ride from Genting Jetty.

It has options such as deluxe bungalow, beachfront bungalow, beach family bungalow, beach house suite and 2 to 3-bedroom beach house.
