The international passenger terminal T2 at Da Nang International Airport covers 52,000 square meters and features a modern design inspired by the shape of a seagull. The terminal was built with an investment of approximately VND3.5 trillion (US$134.6 million) and began operations in 2017, coinciding with the APEC Summit Week.
Terminal 2 becomes the first airport terminal in Vietnam to earn a Skytrax 5-star rating for two consecutive years, praised for premium facilities and smart services.
To date, only 19 airports and 5 terminals worldwide have achieved this five-star status.
Terminal T2 is an international-standard terminal with distinct areas for arriving and departing passengers, serving millions annually.
Equipped with an AI camera system, the terminal can measure passenger density, ensuring timely regulation and smooth operations.

At Terminal T2, passengers can enjoy the convenience of self-bag drop. After attaching a luggage tag to their suitcase, passengers place their bags on an automatic conveyor belt, which then transports the luggage to the security control area and on to the aircraft.
The self-check-in counter opens three hours before departure and closes 50 minutes before the flight. This service is currently available for certain airlines, so passengers should check with their airline to confirm whether the self-check-in service applies to their flight.
Terminal T2 is also fully equipped with an automated system that spans from check-in to boarding, including self-check-in counters and self-bag drop. Recently, automatic control gates and automatic boarding gates are also implemented to further enhance the efficiency of the terminal.

The video call kiosk system and multilingual information screens assist passengers in finding information about flights, services, and amenities.
These features also serve as an important communication channel, allowing the airport to receive feedback from customers.
