Cheng and his wife took their two older sons to Australia, while the youngest son Carlos is still young so stayed in Hong Kong.
On her personal page, Chan said that this was the first time the whole family had traveled together for Lunar New Year holiday.
The family visited many tourist attractions including Queensland, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and SkyPoint on the Gold Coast.
Her children all adapted well to the weather.
Cheng said his family flew to Australia on Feb. 8, two days before the Year of Dragon started.
He wrote on his Instagram account with over 175,000 followers: "Happy New Year from Australia."
