Over the past decade, the 24-hour coffee shop model has emerged in Hanoi, often concentrated in small alleys with a limited customer base.

Despite its recent opening at the end of February, Contrast Coffee, located at a community mall at 264 Van Chuong Lane, Van Chuong Ward, Dong Da District, has quickly captivated the interest of young people in the capital.

The store features a four-storey design and spans nearly 1,500 square meters. The interior design of the shop is mainly white in color, which contributes to making the space feel open, airy, and pleasant.

Upon entering the second and third floors, visitors are greeted by six expansive bookshelves and two smaller ones, reaching up to the ceiling. Every nook within the shop offers an ideal ambiance for relaxation and reading.

This café primarily caters to individuals seeking an environment for studying and working, and is very quiet. It may not be suitable for large groups looking to socialize or host meetings.

The space not only offers ample space but is also designed to meet the working requirements of customers. Each desk is equipped with multiple power outlets, facilitating the use of laptops or other electronic devices for work or study purposes.

"I spend about two days per week at coffee shops, each lasting about four hours, mostly focusing on studying. The study space at home tends to be small and ineffective. However, studying in a public environment such as a coffee shop brings a significant difference. Not only does it enhance focus, but it also fosters new ideas and deeper learning. The ambient sounds around me even aid in maintaining focus," said Do Bao Ngoc, an 18-year-old from Thanh Xuan District.

Nguyen Van Nhi, a university student, said that visiting coffee shops for studying has become a daily routine for her. She spends about 4 to 5 hours almost every day studying in these places.

When it comes to choosing a suitable coffee shop, Nhi considers several specific criteria, but most important is a quiet environment with ample lighting, so she can study.

According to Nhi, studying at a coffee shop also means she must spend a lot of money for this activity monthly. But she believes that it is a worthwhile investment.

The community mall is currently in the final stages of completion. As a result, the services are not so diverse. Apart from the coffee shop, it also features a souvenir shop, a hair salon, and even a billiards room. Several projects are underway to meet customer demand.

The coffee shop's terrace offers a spacious setting.

The drink menu offers basic options such as coffee, fruit tea, and milk tea, priced between VND35,000 to VND55,000 ($1.40 to $2.20). However, the drinks' presentation and quality are not impressive.
