As Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City prepare fireworks shows to celebrate Lunar New Year’s Eve, here are a few recommendations for rooftop venues where you can enjoy the countdown party.

Panorama Restaurant & Bar on the 11th floor of the Authentic Hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter is one of the most ideal addresses in the capital to bid farewell to the Year of Tiger and welcome the Year of Cat.

The restaurant is offering packages for guests to watch fireworks and enjoy European-style dishes on the rooftop floor.

You can order a combo for two including one tapas platter, two glasses of wine and two entrance tickets for VND1.499 million ($64). Another package includes one luxury table, an assorted cheese and ham platter, one bottle white or red wine and entrance tickets for a group of four for VND4.499 million.

The restaurant is at 13 Ly Thai To Street, Hoan Kiem District.

Fireworks will light up the sky over 31 Hanoi locations on Lunar New Year's Eve.

On the ninth floor of La Siesta Premium Hang Be, Cloud Nine Restaurant in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem District will remain open after midnight on the first day of the Year of Cat so that guests can enjoy the fireworks display.

Normally, the restaurant closes at 9:45 p.m.

For Lunar New Year's Eve, Cloud Nine is offering two set menus with prices of VND1.69 million per person.

The restaurant is at 27 Hang Be Street, inside the Old Quarter and just a few steps from Ta Hien beer street.

Located on the 20th floor of the Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel, the Summit Lounge offers breathtaking views of West Lake and Truc Bach Lake.

You can book tickets to ring in the Lunar New Year for VND980,000, including three drink choices of selected non-alcohol drinks, cocktails, beer, red wine, white wine and cold cuts.

The restaurant is at No.1 Thanh Nien Street, Truc Bach Ward.

Grill 63 Restaurant, on the 63rd floor of Lotte Hanoi Hotel, provides a vantage point to watch colorful fireworks.

An a la carte menu and a course menu are available for lunch and dinner from January 20-24.

Vietnamese people start enjoying their seven-day Tet break from this Friday.

In Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, Banana Mama Rooftop & Kitchen on the 10th floor of WMC Tower is just a five-minute walk from Ben Thanh Market and offers a panoramic view of Saigon.

From the Banana Mama rooftop restaurant, you can watch the high-altitude fireworks show as it explodes over the Saigon River.

The restaurant serves burgers and French-inspired small bites, as well as refreshing signature cocktails and mocktails and crafted beers and wine.

The restaurant is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The venue mainly serves Western cuisine with dishes like tender and juicy lamb shank, pan-fried foie gras, linguine scampi and chocolate fondant.

The restaurant is at 215 Ly Tu Trong Street, Ben Thanh Ward.

Its signature dishes include rock shrimp tempura, Anago tempura and grilled Wagyu beef with truffle cream sauce.

The open-air restaurant is offering a four-course set menu with prices starting at VND900,000 per person for Tet. The restaurant will serve European cuisine such as pintxo, beef salad, salmon salad, pan seared tuna and panna cotta.

The address is at 72-74 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 1.

Located on the 77th floor of Landmark 81, the tallest building in Vietnam, Ussina Aging Beef & Bar is famous for its signature Wagyu beef.

For the Lunar New Year's Eve party, the restaurant is offering a set menu with six dishes for VND2.19 million per person.

Customers will be charged VND1 million per person if they just want to enjoy the fireworks from the restaurant. Or they can enjoy Set Hanabi (canapes) for VND990,000 per adult and VND500,000 per child.

Sitting on the rooftop bar, guests can see stunning fireworks over the Saigon River, bustling scenes along Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street and other iconic symbols of the southern metropolis.
