As Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City prepare fireworks shows to celebrate Lunar New Year’s Eve, here are a few recommendations for rooftop venues where you can enjoy the countdown party.

Panorama Restaurant & Bar on the 11th floor of the Authentic Hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter is one of the most ideal addresses in the capital to bid farewell to the Year of Tiger and welcome the Year of Cat.

The restaurant is offering packages for guests to watch fireworks and enjoy European-style dishes on the rooftop floor.

You can order a combo for two including one tapas platter, two glasses of wine and two entrance tickets for VND1.499 million ($64). Another package includes one luxury table, an assorted cheese and ham platter, one bottle white or red wine and entrance tickets for a group of four for VND4.499 million.

The restaurant is at 13 Ly Thai To Street, Hoan Kiem District.

Fireworks will light up the sky over 31 Hanoi locations on Lunar New Year's Eve.

For Lunar New Year's Eve, Cloud Nine is offering two set menus with prices of VND1.69 million per person.

An a la carte menu and a course menu are available for lunch and dinner from January 20-24.

Customers will be charged VND1 million per person if they just want to enjoy the fireworks from the restaurant. Or they can enjoy Set Hanabi (canapes) for VND990,000 per adult and VND500,000 per child.

Sitting on the rooftop bar, guests can see stunning fireworks over the Saigon River, bustling scenes along Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street and other iconic symbols of the southern metropolis.
