Four hotels and two resorts in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Yen, Phu Quoc and Ha Long were selected among the most luxurious in Southeast Asia at this year’s World Luxury Hotel Awards.

Grand Vista Hanoi on Giang Vo Street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Street was named the "Luxury business hotel in Southeast Asia."

It has 165 rooms overlooking the Giang Vo Lake, with room rates starting from VND1.8 million ($72.42).

The hotel is just a few steps from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Somerset West Point Hanoi in the West Lake area, home to a large expat community, won in the "Luxury city serviced apartments" category.

It boasts 247 five-star serviced apartments that are mainly designed for businesspeople.

Room rates cost from VND2.1 million a night.

Citadines Marina Halong won the "Luxury new hotel" title.

Located in Ha Long Town in northern Quang Ninh Province, around two hours from Hanoi, the hotel opened over a year ago and has 292 luxury apartments.

Room rates cost from VND1.7 million a night.

Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc was named winner of the "Luxury beach resort in Southeast Asia" category.

Located along Ganh Dau beach on the southern island Phu Quoc, the resort has 514 rooms and an outdoor swimming pool at its core.

A night’s stay costs from VND1.9 million.

Located in the south central province of Phu Yen, Stelia Beach Resort won the "Best architectural design in Southeast Asia" category.

The resort is designed in a Mediterranean style with white walls and arched windows, decorated with cacti and bougainvillea.

It has 41 villas covering a nine-hectare area under a casuarina forest canopy that is nearly 50 years old.

A night’s stay costs from VND3.3 million while the Presidential villa class is priced from VND27.7 million.

Hotel Des Arts Saigon on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in HCMC was named the "Luxury art boutique hotel in Southeast Asia."

Designed like an art museum in Indochina style, the hotel has 168 rooms and boasts the city’s highest rooftop infinity pool.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards was first launched in 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the luxury hotel industry as voted by guests, travelers and industry players.

Over 300,000 international travelers vote each year, during a four-week period to select the winners.
