In August, Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post listed the Sailing Club in Phu Quoc along Long Beach as one Southeast Asia’s 10 most luxurious bars.

It has an outdoor swimming pool and a lounge bar along the beach, with prices up to VND995,000 (US$40) per drink.

It also serves Asian dishes from midday to 10 p.m.

Highly appreciated by foreign tourists, Travel+Leisure readers last year voted it one of 10 best bars in Vietnam.

Located on a private stretch of sand in the heart of An Bang Beach, around three kilometers from Hoi An City, Shore Club was also voted one of Southeast Asia’s 10 most luxurious bars by SCMP.

The bar is designed with the main colors of white and blue that take inspiration from Mediterranean-style architecture.

It hosts family-friendly events with DJs coming in at night while partygoers can try parasailing, jet skiing or banana boat rides just outside the club.

The beachside bar serves different kinds of cocktails with prices ranging from $15-25.

Located on the first floor of an apartment building at 136 Le Thanh Ton Street opposite to Ben Thanh Market, Stir Bar ranked 82nd in a list of Asia’s 100 best compiled by William Reed Business Media, a media company headquartered in the U.K. in August.

"This somewhat hidden first-floor bar is reminiscent of Vietnam in the 1960s and 1970s, and is a comfortable, intimate space – all the better for exploring its range of cocktails inspired by the traditional, street drinks of Vietnam," the ranking said.

The bar, with a patio overlooking the oldest market in HCMC, is able to accommodate 40 guests at a time.

Guests can order a variety of exotic cocktails including jackfruit sticky rice, jasmine negroni and truffle martini, as also enjoy Vietnam's most traditional dishes like banh mi and pho, not to mention a special mangosteen salad with shredded chicken.

The drinks start from VND250,000.

Located in the attic of an old house on Hang Ma Street in Hanoi's Old Quarter, The Haflington ranked 85th on the William Reed Business Media list.

The bar takes inspiration from a private museum with typical European architecture, featuring fossils and rows of old books.

As the Christmas holiday season is coming near, the bar has decorated its lounge with sparkling Christmas stars.

Its cocktail menu is inspired by cultural stories from around the world, from South America to Africa.

The bar opens from 3 p.m. until 1 a.m. with prices ranging from VND250,000-300,000 per drink.

Last month, Layla Eatery & Bar was placed at 279th on the ranking of 500 best bars in the world as aggregated by AI from the opinions of industry experts, journalists and influencers.

The ranking was powered by Le Cocktail Connoisseur, a social media blog dedicated to bartenders and cocktail bars around the world,

Located on the second floor of an old building on Dong Du Street in HCMC's District 1, Layla Eatery & Bar was founded by Australian bartender Jay Moir and a Vietnamese partner.

Its architecture carries modern designs, displaying contemporary artwork and a variety of ornamental plants.

Past the bar, there is also a cozy covered garden terrace, decked out with wooden furniture and plants.

It is open from 4 p.m.
