Da Nang, famous for long, sandy beaches, topped the list, according to the Dutch-based agency which conducted an analysis of check-in dates between Sept. 1-4.

This year, the government chose to begin the holiday one day before the official day on September 2 so that it would be spaced apart from the first day of the new school year on Sept. 5.

As the holiday will fall on the weekend, it will be a four-day holiday in total.

Da Nang successfully hosted its international fireworks festival last month, attracting nearly 1 million visitors, up 30% against the 2019 version.
