When Huong was 12 years old, after finishing 6th grade, she was already at 1.81 m. After three years of training in the youth team, Huong was named best attacker at the 2023 national youth volleyball championship.
At the 2024 VTV9 - Binh Dien international women's volleyball tournament held last month in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, Huong became the best hitter of U20 Vietnam with 51 points.
Huong idolizes Vietnamese number one volleyball star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, who has played for many clubs in Asia before becoming the first Vietnamese volleyball player to sign with a European club - Turkish Kuzeyboru - last April.
According to U20 Vietnam head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, Huong needs major support if she wants to follow in Thuy's footsteps.
"For Huong to develop her full potential, we must give her professional support from the club to the national team," Kiet told VnExpress.
Setter Nguyen Van Ha, 19, is 1.72 m tall. She started playing volleyball in 8th grade at the suggestion of a teacher.
After two years of training, Ha was brought to volleyball club Kinh Bac Bac Ninh by coaches Pham Van Long and Pham Thanh Ha, and the team finished as runner-up at the 2022 national youth championship and bronze medal at the 2023 edition.

"Participating in big tournaments like this is a useful experience for young athletes like us and that gives us the opportunity to play and gain experience," Ha said.
Ha is considered the key player of U20 Vietnam with her flexible movement, intelligent plays and positive attitude to motivate her teammates. She also plays badminton and basketball well.
Opposite hitter Nguyen Kieu Oanh, 18, is 1.78 m tall. Although Oanh rarely got to play in the VTV9 - Binh Dien tournament, every time she was put on the field, she left her mark.
During the matches against strong opponents such as BlueCats, Long An and U20 Thailand, Oanh showed her worth and scored important points.
Outside hitter Nguyen Lan Vy, 18, is another talent of Binh Dien Long An. She is a member of U20 Vietnam, with a height of 1.72 m.
