At 7:30 a.m., the Ministry of Public Security commenced a tournament for police officers at Ngo Mon Square in Thua Thien-Hue to commemorate the 60-year anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Police (July 20). They would compete in martial arts and shooting events, among others.
Sixteen units from the People's Police University and police departments of Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, and Kien Giang in the south, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak in the Central Highlands, and Phu Yen, Quang Nam, Quang Binh, and Thua Thien-Hue in the central region, participated in the event.
