With the removal of numerous Covid-19 checkpoints, the streets of downtown Hanoi were again abuzz with traffic Friday morning.

At 7 a.m., vehicles flood Tran Phu Street of Ha Dong District, pouring towards downtown areas.

Previously on Thursday, the Hanoi police department said 39 Covid-19 checkpoints across the city had been removed as the city started to ease restrictions.

According to the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, the capital would need a concrete plan when it comes to coronavirus prevention after Sept. 21, when restrictions need to be relaxed, but still prove adequate to prevent infections.
