Tim Cook and his group walk from the Hanoi Post Office on Dinh Tien Hoang Street at around noon on Monday. He also waved to passersby along the way.
Cook took a photo in front of the iconic Turtle Tower.
"Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi is as beautiful as it is iconic!" he wrote on X.
Cook speaks with tech influencer Duy Tham.
"It was amazing to spend time with Duy and see his creative process using Cinematic mode on iPhone 15 Pro," he wrote.
Cook said his first visit to Vietnam is to meet with developers and content creators, as well as visiting schools.

An Apple representative said that during Cook's visit, the tech giant would also bolster its commitment with Vietnam, increasing its spending for suppliers and providing new developments regarding initiatives to supply clean water for local schools.
Cook and his entourage left the Hoan Kiem Lake area at around 11:31 a.m.
This Monday afternoon, Cook is expected to meet with director Phuong Vu and the Antiantiart studio, artist Suboi and certain developers.
Cook, 64, became CEO in 2011, and doubled the company’s revenues and profits by 2020. Under him, new products like Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, a virtual reality headset, were developed.
In 2023 it became the first company in the world to achieve market cap of $3 trillion.
