Representatives from Hope Foundation and probiotic brand Enterogermina - Sanofi Vietnam participate in a toilet handover ceremony held at Ma Le Ethnic Boarding Primary School in Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province in the northern highlands.
Previously, a representative from the Department of Education and Training in Dong Van District stated that the quality of toilets in the district remained substandard. The district's schools currently lacks more than 100 toilets.
The new toilet has separate areas for male and female with separate entrances, and each restroom area has separate compartments with doors to ensure privacy.
The sanitation and drainage systems have been developed to make life more convenient for both students and teachers.
The project's new toilets are fully furnished with handwashing sinks, water supply systems, and signs instructing the students to properly use the toilet and wash their hands afterwards.
With the desire to create good study environment for highland children, Hope Foundation, with the companionship of the probiotic brand Enterogermina, has restarted the School Hygiene Project in Dong Van, Ha Giang.
The Hope Foundation's School Hygiene Project lasted from June to September with the construction of 20 toilets in Dong Van. In addition, the project aims to support clean water filtration systems at some schools and teach good hygiene practices to students.
The project also focuses on activities to raise awareness about maintaining general hygiene and guide school hygiene practices through a set of documents given to children. It is estimated that nearly 5,000 students and teachers on the rocky plateau will benefit from the project's clean, beautiful, and safe sanitation facilities.
