According to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center, the storm lay centered over Da Nang and the provinces of Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces at 7 a.m. with winds of up to 117 kph.

Da Nang and nearby provinces - Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Kon Tum are forecast to receive rainfall of 100-150 and more than 200 mm in some places on Wednesday.
Rainfall of 100-250 mm, and over 300 mm in some places, is forecast in the north central region on Wednesday and Thursday, while the Red River Delta, including Hanoi, and the northern coastal area should expect rainfall of 70-150 mm, and over 180 mm in some places over the two days.
