Singaporean honorary armed personnel perform ceremonies during the reception at the Istana Palace.
This is Chinh's first official visit to Singapore as a Vietnamese prime minister.
The visit happened as Vietnam and Singapore are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership.
Singapore is Vietnam's largest investor in Southeast Asia, and the second-largest globally.
The two prime ministers walk past Singaporean honor guards.
During Chinh's visit, the prime ministers would sign memorandums regarding economic cooperation between the two countries, among others.
Pham Minh Chinh's wife Le Thi Bich Tran (2nd, L) and Lee Hsien Loong's wife Ho Ching also attend the reception ceremony at the palace.
Before coming to the Istana Palace, Chinh and his wife offer flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in the Asian Civilizations Museum.
Chinh places a bouquet at the Ho Chi Minh Monument.
Singapore's National Heritage Board erected the monument in 2008 in commemoration of the 118th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, as well as the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore.
