Ocean View has been under construction since 2009 about 3 km from the Nha Trang city center.
The project has 69 villas, but 15 were not built in accordance with the city's planning.
At the end of 2021, Nha Trang authorities ordered the project investor, Thien Nhan II, to dismantle the illegal structures. But so far only three have been dismantled. Authorities said the delays in the dismantling were due to the lack of funds for the process.
Khanh Hoa authorities said the dismantling of illegal buildings would continue until the end of 2024.

Previously, the Vinh Truong Ward People's Committee said 12 villas would be dismantled in September and October.
Door frames, lighting and electrical systems have been removed. A project manager said the dismantling would continue throughout the National Day holiday to make sure things stay on schedule.

Nguyen Cong Danh, chairman of the Vinh Truong Ward People's Committee, said authorities are formulating a plan of what to do about the statue.
