Largest elevated station on HCMC’s 1st metro near completion

Tan Cang Station in Binh Thanh District is now 93% complete. It is one of 11 stations out of the 14 that will not be underground.

Set to be finished by the first quarter next year, it will have a 6,200-sq.m roof made of fiberglass reinforced plastic sheets produced in Japan.

Tan Cang will be the only station with four tracks since it will be connected with the metro line No.5 in future.

All other stations will have only two tracks.

Around 70 workers work in the day and 30 at night as construction continues apace.
