Students at the Quang Trung High School in Dong Da District lined up to be vaccinated from 8 a.m.
Over 304,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been distributed to 30 districts and towns across Hanoi, allowing the capital to vaccinate its children starting Tuesday morning.
Quang Trung High School would vaccinate nearly 2,000 students.
Teachers check the list of students prior to vaccination.
Until the first quarter of 2022, Hanoi is expected to vaccinate all children aged 12-17 against Covid-19. Around 792,000 students are eligible for vaccination in the capital.

Children would be vaccinated from the eldest to the youngest. All children aged 15-17 would be vaccinated by Thursday.
"I am glad to be able to return to school so I feel happy to receive the shot," said Anh Thu, a 12th grader.
Students must be accompanied by their parents, who wait for them in the school yard.
Hanoi is the 23rd locality to begin vaccinating children against Covid-19, after Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
So far around 1.8 million, or 20 percent of children in the 12-17 age group, have received at least one shot, while 4,300 got two.
