On Friday, a Covid-19 vaccination team from Truc Bach Ward visited local homes to deliver elderly citizens their vaccine shots.
Amid a Covid-19 surge in the capital, local authorities have deployed home vaccination for the elderly and disabled, and others ill-suited to travel.
Thanh Huong, a nurse at the Truc Bach medical station, visits Kim Giao's house on Ngu Xa Street to give her the first Covid-19 vaccine shot.
Giao, 69, undergoes health screening before receiving her shot. She was signed up for home vaccination by family members.
Doctor Chu Thi Hop performs a health screening on 88-year-old Le Thi Ly, who lives on Ngu Xa Street. Ly has a broken leg and cannot move around.
Hanh gives Ly her first Covid-19 vaccine shot.
"Due to a personnel shortage, we have to divide ourselves into shifts and enlist the help of others, including local militia members," said Hanh.
Nguyen Thi Lan, 99, has her health checked before vaccination. Elderly people are among those more vulnerable to Covid-19.
Chu Thi Hop writes down a phone number and other relevant information so families could contact her if needed.
