Over 1,600 artists and military people participated in several performances.

1,040 military personnel from the special forces departed for Gia Lam airport from 3 a.m. for training.
As Hanoi's temperatures dropped to around 18 degrees Celsius, about 115 military dogs found it comfortable to work in the cool weather. After nine months of training, the dogs are able to follow commands and get into formation.
80 dogs will line up to form the number 80, signifying the 80th anniversary of the formation of Vietnam's People's Army. Five dogs will perform obstacle runs, and 30 will provide security support for the event.
Students of the Political University carry the flags of 27 countries participating in the expo, including the U.S., Russia, the U.K., Japan and South Korea. The event is an opportunity to expand defense cooperation between Vietnam and other countries, as well as to develop the defense industry.
The expo will be open free for the public from 1 p.m. Dec. 21 until the end of Dec. 22. The expo spans over 100,00 m2, nearly four times larger than when it was first organized in 2022.
