South Korean Air Force's Black Eagles aerobatic team performs during the first day of the Singapore Airshow in Singapore on Tuesday.
The Singapore Airshow opens at the Changi Exhibition Center with the participation of more than 1,000 companies from 50 countries. This is an aviation event held every two years, the largest in Asia and the third in the world, only after Le Bourget exhibition in France and Farnborough in England.
South Korean Air Force's Black Eagles aerobatic team performs in their T-50's during an aerial display.
Black Eagles' official name is the 53rd Air Demonstration Squadron, equipped with 8 T-50B Golden Eagle training fighters.
They are among the most famous flight demonstration teams in the world, on par with the Russian Knights, the American Blue Angels and the British Red Arrows.
One of the most impressive moves in the Black Eagles performance was two aircraft flying in opposite directions at close range, creating the feeling that they were almost crashing into each other.
In reality, the two planes move dozens of meters apart and there is little risk of an accident, unless the pilot makes a mistake.
China's C919 passenger plane performs at the exhibition. This is the first time a domestic Chinese aircraft has been presented at an international aviation event since being certified at the end of 2022.
The C919 is the first passenger aircraft model produced by China, with a flight range of about 5,600 km and a capacity of 192 passengers, expected to be a competitor to narrow-body aircraft Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.
Boeing's absence at this year's exhibition is considered an opportunity for China to promote this aircraft model.
