The competition runs until Thursday.

Lieutenant general Nguyen Ngoc Toan, head of the Department of Party and Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security, said the competition was one of the measures used to improve the quality of the forces, including their military skills and martial arts.

"It helps improve combat capabilities for officers as the situations, requirements and missions to protect national security and maintain social order entail new challenges," he said.
