Ham Tru An (The Shelter), a new coffee shop at 78 Trung Tien Alley, Kham Thien Street, Dong Da District, has gained popularity among the city's youth. Encompassing an expanse of 3,500 m2, the four-story coffee shop’s white palette is complemented by green accents emanating from the surrounding foliage.
On the ground floor, visitors will find a bar area, complete with a pastry counter and a selection of arranged seating options. Treats such as tiramisu, mousse, cheesecake and biscuits are all available here.
The coffee shop offers various seating areas. For those who prefer outdoor seating, the courtyard on the second floor provides a comfortable option.
The outdoor space boasts a music stage and swimming pool, creating the sensation of being transported to a resort.
The space is ideal for accommodating large groups of friends and families. However, as the coffee shop is currently in the testing phase, certain parts are still undergoing construction.
Sunlight bathes the shop, illuminating the lush greenery that surrounds the seating areas. Sitting outdoors may get hot in the summer, but it offers visitors the chance to enjoy the open-air ambiance.
The outdoor seating features low tables and chairs, perfect for conversations with friends rather than work. The shop provides fans for comfort in this area. Many visitors favor these seats for their direct view of the pool and music stage.
The coffee shop's interior showcases a modern ambiance through its minimalist design, featuring a color palette of white and gray that resonates with young visitors.
The shop serves as a multifunctional space for socializing, studying and working.
Ha Anh, a student at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, frequents the coffee shop several times a week. She appreciates the environment for studying alone or engaging in conversations with close friends, the availability of high tables and chairs for studying, as well as good drinks. “Personally, I opt for black coffee without sugar, which has a satisfying taste without being overly bitter," she said.
The menu presents a variety of choices, including banana coffee, coconut cream coffee, honey lemon cold brew, and mango yogurt with granola. Visitors can also indulge in popular beverages like salted coffee and custard-apple smoothies. The prices for these drinks range from VND40,000 to VND65,000 ($1.70 to $2.76), offering good value for the quality provided. The attentive and enthusiastic staff further enhance the overall experience.
