Huang was spotted at the restaurant at 7 a.m., wearing his signature black jacket, which he often chooses for casual outings.
The weather in Hanoi on Friday is around 20 degree Celcius, with light sunshine and occasional rain.
The Nvidia CEO visits Bat Dan, one of Hanoi's oldest and most famous pho restaurants.
The restaurant owner said Huang ordered a bowl of flank beef noodle soup served with fried dough sticks.
Huang's group, comprising about 20 people, had been checking the area since Thursday.
This is Huang's second visit to Vietnam, following his first trip last December. On both occasions, he chose traditional dining spots in Hanoi.
During this two-day visit, Huang praised Vietnam's "rich culture, beautiful people, and great cuisine" and expressed his belief that the country will continue to gain recognition for its "advanced technology".
He also reiterated comments he made over a year ago, stating that "the Vietnamese people and the opportunities in Vietnam are ideal for investment."
On Thursday evening, Nvidia CEO also drank beer and walked around the old quarter with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh after attending the signing ceremony to establish an AI R&D center in Vietnam.
Huang is expected to leave Vietnam on Friday night.
Huang, born in 1963, currently holds a fortune of over US$126 billion, most of it from his stake in Nvidia, the world’s leading AI chip company. He co-founded Nvidia in 1993, initially focusing on graphic processing and gaming. However, the company later harnessed its processing power for a wide range of fields, including AI.
