At approximately 4 p.m., amid intense gusts and heavy rain, a 10-meter-wide sheet-metal roof and its steel frame tore away from a shop and collapsed on Hoang Van Thu Street in the former Tan Binh District.
The structure fell near the descent of the Lang Cha Ca overpass, disrupting traffic for thousands of vehicles traveling through the busy airport gateway.
