This outdoor film set will recreate Saigon from the early 1900s, giving visitors a nostalgic glimpse into the city's historical charm. Visitors can also engage in filmmaking experiences.
Within the film set zone, there will also be studio facilities offering visitors immersive filming experiences using virtual reality technology, along with professional guidance on shooting, editing, and creating cinematic special effects.
The atmosphere of an old Saigon port will also be recreated within the film set zone.
According to the proposal, the park will be developed in three phases. In the first two to three years, infrastructure, the main film set, a film museum, and a yacht exhibition center will be completed. In the second phase, additional entertainment areas and expanded film-related events will be introduced. The third phase will see further development of integrated tourism and entertainment services.

HCMC plans to significantly expand public green spaces, including the creation of 42 parks along the Saigon River.
Currently, while the city's official plan allocates 11,400 hectares of parkland—roughly 7 square meter per resident—only about 500 hectares exist in reality, translating to just 0.55 sq.m per resident for a population exceeding 10 million. The upcoming riverside cinema park in Thu Thiem is part of broader efforts to enhance urban green spaces and improve residents' quality of life.
