A canal section near National Highway 1, running through Binh Tan District, is having a dyke installed. This canal section will eventually be dredged and cleaned up.

After the beams are planted, the workers begin to pour in concrete to reinforce the dykes.

There would be three bridges, 19 sewer drains, 12 docks, trees and lighting systems along the canal.

After the canal is renovated, traffic in neighboring areas will be relieved, especially roads that are usually congested like National Highway 1, Phan Van Hon, Quang Trung or Tan Ky Tan Quy.

The canal will also connect traffic with the western axis, improving quality of life for people living on its two sides.
