Floods have inundated 520B provincial road sections running through Thanh Quan Commune, Nhu Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, on Wednesday.
Heavy rains and floods over the past two days have caused several villages in different communes to be isolated, and crops to be swept away, according to the Nhu Xuan District People's Committee.
A man in the district has gone missing after going fishing on Tuesday night, the committee added.

A pickup truck got stuck on National Highway 8A in Son Kim 1 Commune, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province after rubbles tumbled down following heavy rains. The driver was unharmed.

Due to weather patterns incurred by a tropical depression, several Vietnamese regions have received heavy rains starting Tuesday evening, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh saw up to 210 mm rainfall over the last 12 hours.
Rains are forecast to persist in the three provinces until Thursday at 100-250 mm, while nearby provinces will receive 40-120 mm rains.
