Heavy fog cloaks Da Nang

A statue of a carp turning into a dragon and spouting water is seen in front of the Love Bridge on Tran Hung Dao Street.

The coasts of Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra districts sleep behind layers of fog, obstructing the view of the ocean. The fog in these areas are thicker than in the western region, which is closer to the mountains.

A statue of the Bodhisattva at the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula, 67 m tall, could not be observed clearly due to the fog.

Several tourists go out to exercise after 9 a.m., when the fog is less thick, on the sidewalks of Bien Dong.

At around 10 a.m., the shine of the sun could be seen over the ocean as the fog dissipates. At around 1 p.m., the sky became clear.

Fog may still persist in Da Nang until Saturday, according to the weather station.
