By 10 p.m. on Friday, it was still raining heavily in the central city.

According to statistics from the meteorological agency, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, localities from Ha Tinh to Da Nang received heavy rains of 300-380 mm in some places.

It is forecast that from Friday night until Sunday, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Nam will continue to receive rains of 200-300 mm and up to more than 500 mm in some places.

In ThuaThien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam, rainfalls of 300-450 mm and more than 800 mm in some places should be expected.

In October last year, Da Nang experienced historic flooding that inundated the entire city under 1.5 m of floodwater after it received 795 mm of rain overnight following storm Son Ca. The floods killed four people, and caused more than 200,000 households to lose power.
