All seven districts of the central city recorded water from 0.5 meters to 2 meters high, stalling the engines of many cars and motorbikes.
Le Duan – Hoang Hoa Tham Intersection is reportedly where the most cars were flooded.
Many cars filled up the parking space outside the Truong Hai Auto showroom in Thanh Khanh District, waiting for a checkup.
Other garages said they have received over 100 cars in recent days.
Huan Thanh Garage in Ngu Hanh Son District has been recording over 30 cars coming in a day, double the normal number. The cars are parked outside of the garage due to lack of space. All employees have been mobilized to speed up work.
There is no official statistics on how many cars have been damaged by the flood, but according to garage data it could be up to thousands.

As of Monday afternoon, many vehicles were still being towed to garages for repair, while damaged cars are still seen on the side of some roads.
Some industry insiders warn that secondhand car buyers need to be aware that some water-damaged vehicles could be sold on the market in upcoming days, even in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
