Nguyen Cao Tri, chairman of property developer Capella, is accused of abusing of trust to appropriate assets for swindling VND1 trillion from Lan.
Do Thi Nhan, former head of the central bank’s Department of Inspection and Supervision, is accused of receiving $5.2 million in bribes from Lan.
Nguyen Van Hung, former deputy head of the central bank’s Department of Inspection and Supervision, is accused of taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties.
Among the remaining 82 defendants, 45 are former leaders of SCB, 15 former State Bank of Vietnam officers, three Government Inspectorate officers, and one former officer from the State Audit Office.
They are accused of embezzlement, receiving bribes, abuse of power and position while performing official duties, lack of responsibility causing serious consequences, and violating bank regulations.
Five of them are former leaders of SCB and are now in hiding.
