A closer look at Trinh Van Quyet’s gold-plated Rolls-Royce

The four-seater, bought in 2018, went under the hammer with a reserve price of VND10 billion ($402,500) on Oct. 24, but the auction was called off since no one even placed a deposit for it.

The car is now on display in Hanoi, and the second auction next month has a starting price of VND9.7 billion.

The car was used by the distributor before Quyet bought it.

Though the interior looks relatively new since it was not used much, there are some stains in it.

The buttons on the steering wheel are gold-plated.

So are the door handle and buttons.

The back has two screens for entertainment.

It is also spacious.

The Rolls-Royce has a V12 6.6L engine that generates 563bhp and can go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour within 4.7 seconds. It has a top speed of 250 kph.

The Rolls-Royce logos on the wheel caps do not spin unlike on other cars.

The exhaust pipes are also gold-plated.
