On International Children’s Day, Zhang shared photos of herself with her children on Weibo, writing: “I hope my children’s childhood is as bright as a rainbow, healthy, and joyful.”
Zhang, who has two children—a 10-year-old daughter named Tingting and a five-year-old son—with her ex-husband, Chinese musician Wang Feng.
The actress emphasized that the time parents dedicate to their children is one of the greatest gifts a child can receive.
She often takes her children with her when she has short work commitments to ensure she can care for them.
Zhang said she is content with her current life and feels more at peace than before.
“Time flies by, but I cherish each sunrise and sunset. I love what I have and do, and I find joy in the present moment,” she shared.
In addition to spending quality time with her children, Zhang makes an effort to expose them to new places and the natural world.
Zhang has previously stated that despite their separation, she and her ex-husband remain close and share the responsibility of raising and educating their children, always striving to be trustworthy parents.
Zhang, 46, rose to international fame with her role in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” which earned 10 Academy Award nominations. She also received numerous awards for her performance in the 2013 film “The Grandmaster.”
Wang, 54, is widely recognized as a rock musician and a coach on “The Voice of China.”
The two married in 2015, marking Zhang’s first and Wang’s third marriage.
