The nuptial celebration for Hai and Huyen was hosted Saturday at JW Marriott hotel in Hanoi, a venue renowned for its service to numerous globally recognized leaders including former U.S. President Barack Obama, U.S. President Joe Biden, and the Chinese President Xi Jinping during their official visits to Vietnam.
Center-back Do Duy Manh, a teammate of Hai’s from the national team, also celebrated his marriage to Nguyen Quynh Anh at the hotel back in 2020.
A spokesperson from the decorating service disclosed that the event space was beautified with 10,000 roses from Ecuador and numerous hydrangeas that were brought in from abroad.
The cost per Ecuadorian rose was set at VND50,000, whereas the hydrangeas sourced from overseas were marked at VND100,000 apiece.
In addition to these, a variety of other blossoms including peonies and delphiniums were also employed to enhance the venue’s aesthetics.
To ensure the setup was completed in time for the celebration, the team responsible for decorations dedicated two days of work at the hotel.
Photographs from the couple’s pre-wedding shoot were exhibited in the hotel’s lobby, offering guests a chance to capture commemorative pictures.
White emerged as a primary hue for the celebration’s color scheme.
To help the blooms maintain their freshness for a longer period, the floral arrangement team pre-formed decorative patterns on foam boards while the flowers were stored in water containers. The more resilient ones were then pre-affixed to the boards, and the more fragile varieties were added closer to the event start time.
The decorative theme for the occasion was chosen to exude sophistication and finesse. In line with achieving an optimal visual setting for the event, the couple recommended guests dress in navy, beige, or gray, and advised against wearing black, white, pastel pink, or pastel blue.
The wedding ceremoniously commenced at 3 p.m. with a vow exchange paired with a baby shower, during which the couple shared the news of expecting their first child, a boy.
Before the main reception scheduled for 6 p.m., Hai and Huyen arranged for their guests to indulge in desserts and afternoon tea.
For the main stage, a palette of vividly colored flowers was selected to create the ambiance of an ethereal garden amidst clouds.
The seating arrangement for guests included round tables and banquet chairs, each draped in opulent silk fabric.
At 27, Hai has garnered acclaim for his athleticism, having clinched a gold medal at the SEA Games in 2019 and triumphing in the 2018 AFF Cup with his national team colleagues. He also played a significant role in Vietnam’s noteworthy performance in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
At 24, Huyen has made a name for herself as a distinguished digital influencer and entrepreneur, boasting a following of over 628,000 on TikTok.
Since initiating their relationship in 2021, the duo has preferred to maintain a discreet presence online, rarely sharing insights into their personal life.
In a previous interview, Hai articulated his conviction that entering into matrimony would mark the beginning of favorable changes in his footballing career.
