The inaugural VnExpress Marathon Grand Tour Nghe An marked another milestone in the Herbalife community’s fitness journey through races supported by the company. The course took runners along wide roads from central Vinh toward Cua Lo and back to the finish line.
Unlike previous urban and coastal races, VnExpress Marathon Grand Tour Nghe An combined running with destination experiences, allowing participants to explore the province’s scenery and local life. For Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, a native of Nghe An, completing her first 21 km race in her hometown was a source of pride.
The 5km distance attracted the largest number of Herbalife members, including Nguyen Thanh Dat, Senior Communications Director at Herbalife Vietnam, who regularly chooses this distance at VnExpress Marathon events.
"What matters is not how far you run, but taking the first step toward physical activity and gradually making it a habit," Dat said. After finishing his race, he encouraged participants to maintain a balanced diet and exercise regularly to support a healthy lifestyle.
Herbalife runners celebrated their finishes in different ways. Some raised their arms in triumph, others checked their watches, while several turned back to wait for teammates. After hours on the course, the finish line at Ho Chi Minh Square became a gathering point for groups that had separated at the start.
Hugs, high-fives, and smiles followed as runners reunited beyond the finish line. Groups gathered to show off their medals, take photographs, and preserve memories of their journeys.
