80 drawings made between 1930 and 2007 of Vietnam landscapes are being exhibited at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi until September 10.

"Nho Mot Chieu Tay Bac" (Memory of an afternoon in the northwest), painted by Phan Ke An in 1955, is one of the paintings present at the "Dat Nuoc Toi" (My Country) exhibition. The artwork depicts an army troop passing a mountain in the sunlight of a winter afternoon.

An was famous for being the first person to make a sketch of President Ho Chi Minh and one of the first members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. His focuses of creation were the resistance movements in Vietnam and the daily lives of people in the mountainous regions, while his choices of material ranged from oil and lacquer to silk and wooden.

"Buoi Sang Tren Song Huong" (A morning at the Huong River) by painter Luong Xuan Nhi is another creation on display.

Nhi was famous for his paintings of Vietnamese women and landscapes.

Painter Xu Man’s 1975 drawing "Binh Minh Tren Nui Rung Tay Nguyen" (Dawn at the Central Highlands mountains) is also part of the exhibition.

Born in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, the artist focused on portraying local people's daily lives in his artworks.

He was a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association's executive board in the period between 1955 and 1988 and was honored with the State Awards for Literature and Arts in 2012.

Nguyen Quang Tho's 1978 oil painting "Dat Va Nuoc" (The Land and the water) has also been chosen to exhibit.

Tho was a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association whose paintings, mainly oil and lacquer, have been appreciated for their creativity.

He was honored with the State Awards for Literature and Arts in 2001.

Painter Dang Chung's artwork "Ben Thuyen O Can Tho" (A boat bock in Can Tho), part of the exhibition, was completed in 1981.

Mai Van Hien, a representative name of the art movement in Vietnam during the First Indochina War, is another artist having his painting showcased in the exhibition.

His creation "Mot Vung Pac Bo" (A scene of Pac Bo) was completed in 1986.

"Nui Do Va Ngua Trang" (The red mountain and the white horse), completed in 1986 by artist Nguyen Van Da, is also part of the exhibition.

Da's paintings mainly revolved around the topics of soldiers' lives and the relationship between soldiers and residents.

His paintings were praised for their artistic values despite the artist's simplistic painting style.

Nguyen Tho Tuong painted "Phong Canh" (The Landscapes) in 1990.

The artist has won various domestic and international awards throughout his career.

"Suong Som Ba Vi" (An early morning in Ba Vi), drawn by Luu Cong Nhan in 1993, is also part of the exhibition.

Being one of the most famous students of the Vietnamese veteran painter To Ngoc Van, Nhan showcased various painting styles, from realistic to abstract, on different material choices ranging from oil to watercolor.

Tran Dinh Tho's lacquer painting "Xuong Cho" (Heading to the market), completed in 2005, is another artwork exhibited in the event.

Aimed at bringing visitors a fresh experience, the exhibition applies the cinemagraph technology, with eight artworks being displayed using the technique.
