Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said that this achievement reflects the international community's trust in Indonesia's investment climate. The Indonesian Golden Visa is one of the Immigration's flagship programs, expected to support national economic growth.
This aligns with immigration's role as a facilitator of community welfare development, Yusman remarked on Sept. 26.
Besides aiming for an increase in investment value, the issuance of Golden Visas also contributed 12.96 billion IDR in Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) as of Sept. 23, he added.
Golden Visa holders come from 61 countries, where the diverse nationalities show that investing and residing in Indonesia using a Golden Visa offers convenience and is a distinct attraction for foreign nationals.
He mentioned that the largest investment contribution came from foreign companies establishing subsidiaries or branches in Indonesia, amounting to nearly 46.5 trillion IDR, or approximately 96% of the total investment.
Launched in July 2024, the Indonesian Golden Visa is a residence permit granted to certain categories of foreign nationals, such as investors, foreigners with specialized skills, world figures, and former Indonesian citizens and their descendants.
Golden Visas are valid for five to 10 years, with several benefits, including priority access to airport lanes, ease of immigration services, and legal certainty for investing and working in Indonesia.
