Speculation arises over Taylor Swift's fashion inspiration from Princess of Wales

Tatler Magazine reported that Swift, 35, attended the Grammys on Feb. 5 wearing a Schiaparelli white column gown with a bold thigh-high split. She complemented her outfit with Lorraine Schwartz diamond necklaces and black velvet opera gloves, adding opulence to her look.

This ensemble drew comparisons to a look Kate wore to the BAFTA awards in February 2023, which was an up-cycled Alexander McQueen gown paired with black elbow-length gloves, highlighting both sustainability and sophistication, as described by People Magazine.

The similarities between Swift’s and Kate’s outfits have led to discussions among fans and fashion enthusiasts on various platforms, suggesting that Swift may have paid homage to Kate’s renowned fashion sense.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, one user commented on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after Taylor arrived at the awards: "Taylor Swift giving Catherine, Princess of Wales vibes and looking spectacular!"

"As soon as I saw her, I thought about the Princess of Wales," another netizen wrote. "[It is] such a [fire] look."

This is not the first time a public figure has been suggested to draw fashion inspiration from Kate. Previously, Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, the wife of Prince Mateen of Brunei, was also alleged to have taken style cues from the Princess of Wales.
